In 2012, our photo book ended with the words “we’ll see if our seeds give good results, when the first students born in Rangdum will become teachers in Rangdum! We wait the first teachers born in Rangdum in 2014 …”
Only one year late, our kids did not disappoint us!
Here are our first teachers who right now are making lesson at the school of Rangdum!
Choskit has always been the “first of class”, and we should expect that she should be our first teacher and the first to want to go back to her Rangdum to teach! Tenacious and determined, Choskit has always been, and continues to be, a reference to her classmates.
And here is Yanskit, shy and reserved, she has always been in the group of the best of the class.
They are the girls who we do remember from childhood and who have decided to continue their studies without forgetting where they came from.
In fact they decided to be the teachers at Rangdum in the six summer months, then, when the school closes and the children are transferred to Leh, they will go to the city of Jammu to continue their studies at university: Choskit to become a high teacher and Yanskit to become a doctor-dentist.
We look forward to see them with our eyes, taking care of the “little savages” of Rangdum!
The virtuous circle is closed and this is the greatest result we could hope for:
the first daughters of Rangdum returning to Rangdum as teachers!
